The HCM City Taxation Department has announced it will submit a specific plan for tax collection from online businesses to the City People’s Committee in early April and deploy the plan in the same month.
The Ministry of Finance has proposed to freeze and extend tax debt
repayment terms for ailing businesses which would be able to commit to
paying tax in the future.
The General Department of Taxation will enable up to 1,000 enterprises
in five provinces – Ha Noi, HCM City, Bac Ninh, Dong Nai and Nghe An -
to pay their tax online by the end of this year.
Nearly 3,000 businesses in the capital city have
halted production so far this year, including 108 businesses that
changed their field of business, according to the Ha Noi Taxation
Department.
